What do we believe?

‘May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.’ 2 Corinthians 13:14

We believe in the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus died on the cross and rose again from death and ascended to the Heavens. We believe that Jesus Christ is our Saviour and Redeemer and that He paid the full price for us on the Cross.

Jesus was the perfect Lamb. We can now freely approach God through the blood of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only Way and the Truth, there is no other way to come close to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). In Jesus our authority is restored in the spiritual realm and therefore in the name of Jesus we can now tread on snakes and scorpions and we have authority over all the power of the enemy as scripture teaches us in Luke 10:19.

In Jesus our authority is restored in the spiritual realm and therefore in the name of Jesus we can now tread on snakes and scorpions and we have got the might to overcome all the power of the enemy, as Luke 10:19 taught us.

We can do all things through Jesus Christ who gives us strength (Philippians 4:13). We believe that we, must live our lives according to God’s truth and that God’s truth permeates the whole Bible. Therefore we accept the Bible as our only truth. We also believe that nothing can be removed from or added to the Word of God by any human interpretation (Revelation 22:19).

Further, we believe that God expects us to resist the enemy in this life (James 4:7) and that we are not allowed to be ignorant of his plans of destruction in our lives (2 Corinthians 2:11).

We have a responsibility to fight a spiritual war for our circumstances because Ephesians 6:12 teaches us that we are not struggling against flesh and blood but against evil forces in the heavenly realms. We know that we cannot fight in our own power but with God in His authority we can be instruments in His hands, because there where God’s light exists and in His presence, the darkness will flee.

We believe that our authority flows directly from an intimate relationship with God the Father.

We believe that the Holy Spirit and God’s Word will lead us in His Truth (John 14:26).

We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and that the Holy Spirit shares these gifts with each one individually as He wills (1 Corinthians 12:1-11).
