The idea behind the Ministry’s name

Femke is my birth name and means ‘peace’ and ‘little girl’. The meaning of peace and little girl are appropriate and in line with the Ministry’s heartbeat. In Matthew 18:3 we read that “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”

It is our heart to be like children when we preach God’s Word, so that each message will draw a picture that will have lasting value and will bear fruit.

Also we want to serve in humility so that we are less and God is more in people’s lives. It’s all about Him and we are just a tool through which He works. He is the potter and we are the clay. It’s also our heart to choose to look beyond the impossible and believe as a child does in the impossible, because absolutely nothing is impossible with God!

Mark 10:27: ‘Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”

The meaning of peace is also a powerful message that we want to portray through our Ministry. The only true peace and rest in this life comes from God the Father.

We all long for rest and peace every day, it is precisely our peace that the enemy comes to steal so often, but in Jesus we have our peace again and so when we proclaim God’s Truth, the lie of the enemy is revealed and brought into the light and this brings us a step closer to our desired peace.

Therefore it is our Ministry’s heart to stand for this peace, which is the peace of God, because it brings life and abundance when we can go forward in God’s peace!

Philippians 4:7: ‘And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.’

2 Thessalonians 3:16: ‘Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.’
